This preserved journal sketch from around 1711 shows some of the first aromatic materials studied by Sayed Mehmet Al-Attar. It is one of the earliest signs that knowledge was moving closer to scent.

Born in 1719, Ahmet Al-Attar entered a house already touched by oils, natural materials, and early scent knowledge. He was the first to inherit what Sayed Mehmet had begun.
